Our partner, Raphael Pires, contributed to an article published on Broadcast | Agência Estado, which was replicated on the BB InvesTalk portal, about the new rules for portability of investments, known as “Pix de investimentos”.
The new regulation, which is provided for in resolutions 209 and 210 of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), comes into force on July 1, 2025 and is part of the materialization of Open Capital Markets in the regulatory framework of the autarchy.
According to the lawyer, as well as benefiting investors with greater negotiating and decision-making power over their investments, the new CVM rules should “drive standardization and digitalization of the investment market, increasing the efficiency and quality of services”. He stresses that, in the medium and long term, market participants who offer the best services and costs will benefit.
