What can we expect from the tax reform in relation to estate planning?
Maria Paula Carvalho Molinar, a lawyer at Candido Martins, points out that the search for estate planning has grown significantly this year, due to the imminent possibility of legislative change, opening a good window of opportunity for families to organize their assets.
With the approval of the tax reform, states will now demand ITCMD based on progressive rates of up to 8% (which could eventually double to 16%).
