The lawyer pointed to factors that have contributed to keeping Brazilian buyers away from acquisition operations and opening up space for foreigners, such as the drought of IPOs and credit in the market and political instability. However, he believes that the participation of Brazilian investors in the sector will pick up.
“I believe that the number of transactions by Brazilians should grow again in comparison to foreign investments; we see operations heating up in comparison to last year,” said the expert.
